Delegates from University of Applied Sciences Northwest Switzerland pay a visit

The delegation led by Dr. Rudy, vice president of University of Applied Sciences Northwest Switzerland and dean of school of management and economics, paid a visit to UESTC. Vice president of UESTC Zhu Hong met with the guests. The two sides made exchanges of view on issues such as exchange students and teachers.

On behalf of UESTC, Mr. Zhu Hong gave a welcoming speech, saying that with the development of globalization, the communication among institutes of higher education becomes particularly important. As a university of 211 projects and another of 985 projects, UESTC places more importance on international cooperation and exchange. He expressed his hope that this visit will promote the substantive cooperation between the two universities.

Mr. Nuincy introduced the University of Applied Sciences Northwest Switzerland and stressed that their university focuses on the cultivation of applied and international talents. He said that in the past 15 years, the University of Applied Sciences Northwest Switzerland has established stable cooperative relations with 6 universities in China and various cooperation and exchange have been carried out. He hoped through this visit cooperation between the two universities can be established and exchange with Chinese universities can be expanded.

Deputy director Gao Shiquan from the Office of International Cooperation & Exchange gave a brief introduction of the history, size, subjects and international cooperation and exchange of UESTC. He mainly introduced the school of management and economics.

Both sides agreed to have a detailed discussion about the exchange of teachers and students between the two universities.
