Glasgow Delegation Visits UESTC

The cooperative education delegation from University of Glasgow, UK, headed by Dr. Dorothy Welch, the deputy secretary of the University Court pays a three-day visit to UESTC from March, 20 to March 23. They are warmly received by vice president Wang Houjun, Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Ms. Di Aiying, and representatives from School of Glasgow and relative functional offices.



The delegation has gained an in-depth introduction to the Glasgow school preparation which includes the personnel, primary arrangement for the labs and classrooms. Both sides has discussed in details about the enrollment, pupil supervision, teaching management, reception of international students’ school rolls, support for the foreign teacher in working, accommodation, finance system as well as medical insurance. During their stay, the delegation has drafted the office areas for the future School of Glasgow both in Qingshuihe and Shahe Campus, and made field survey on classrooms and labs.

Vice president Wang Houjun puts value on the teaching quality, which, as he says, greatly matters to the success and sustainable development of the cooperative education project. Therefore, we would do our best to support and guarantee its smooth function.
