Glasgow Exchanges with UESTC at Specialist-level

On the afternoon of May 17, John Chapman, vice president of University of Glasgow, leads his delegation to Qingshuihe Campus and has an academic seminar with UESTC experts. Both sides hold in-depth discussion centering on advanced electronic information engineering technology which substitutes of monolithic device, high power continuous wave lasers with asymmetric waveguide design and microwave ignition engine technology.

Vice president Wang Houjun makes presence and says a further scientific and technological cooperation based on joint education is the utmost aspiration of both parties. This seminar marks a key progress forward. He heartedly hopes the enhanced exchanges and understanding would be helpful to figure out a cooperation project in line with two sides’ interests and advantages.

The attendees includes prof. John Marsh, director of Engineering Department, prof. Jon Cooper, director of Postgraduate, prof. Li Yun and prof. Richard from Engineering Department (Glasgow side), prof Zhang Huaiwu, Hujun, Keith, Zhao Zhiqin, Liu Xingang and Liu Yong (UESTC side).
