Juniata College visited UESTC

Recently, President James A. Trohaof Juniata College (U.S.) led a delegation to UESTC and they were warmly welcomed by President Li Yanrong and Vice President Wang Houjun on Qingshuihe campus.


President Li Yanrong pointed that it was crucial for university education to cultivate students’ abilities of expression, critical thinking and analysis. He said that the educational experience of Juniata College was worth learning. President Li emphasized that the cooperation between Juniata College and UESTC would not only benefit the humanistic quality improvement of students of engineering in our university, but also speed up the process of the internationalization of students.


President James A. expressed that it was a win-win decision to cooperate with UESTC whose fast development impressed him deeply. He would endeavor to encourage more students of Juniata College to come to China and study in UESTC.


Presidents from both sides appointed to meet again in 2016 when we were celebrating the 60th anniversary of UESTC.


Both sides also had a detailed discussion on curriculum, credit transfer and overseas-study program.
