Ghanaian Minister to China visited UESTC

On the afternoon April 3, Ghanaian Minister to China MR.K.N.ATUHENE came to UESTC at the invitation of Union of Ghanaian Students in Chengdu. Received by Vice President Wang Houjun, MR.K.N.ATUHENE and his group visited Ghanaian students who were studying in UESTC.


MR.K.N.ATUHENE said that this was his first trip to Chengdu. He also expressed his thanks to UESTC for the efforts our university had made to cultivate talents for Ghana’s educational, economic and technological development, especially for the scholarship offered by UESTC for teachers and other individuals that were working in partner institutions. He hoped that our university could provide more opportunities of internship for Ghanaian students so that deeper cooperation between both parties could be achieved.


Vice President Wang Houjun introduced the general situation and development strategy of UESTC, particularly stressing the study and social activities of Ghanaian students. He thought highly of the behavior of Ghanaian students in UESTC as well as the partner institutions’ recommendation of excellent students. He expressed that UESTC would spare no effort to enhance mutual collaboration.


After the meeting, accompanied by UESTC cultural communication ambassadors, MR.K.N.ATUHENE and his group toured the campus and met with Ghanaian students.
