UESTC renewed sister-school cooperation agreement with W&M

On August 27th, Chairman of University Council Wang Zhiqiang, who headed UESTC delegation to W&M (College of William and Mary), signed a new phase of sister-school cooperation agreement with President of W&M Reveley.



During the meeting, Wang Zhiqiang and President Reveley together retrospected the exchange and cooperation, especially Visiting Scholars Program and students’ summer camp, between the two schools since 2011 when they first built their sister-school relationship. Reveley then shared happy memories of his visit to UESTC two years ago. He was deeply impressed by the school’s rapid development in recent years, its beautiful scenery, its attention on Sino-US friendly relations and students’ fluent English expression.

Wang Zhiqiang indicates that W&M is one of the most important partners of UESTC. W&M boasts not only its rich history, but its keeping camp and grace, actively developing frontier research via crosses and integration between subjects in this information era of high-speed development. More admirable are the high attention W&M paid to undergraduate teaching and remarkable achievements W&M got in undergraduate talent cultivation.


Vice President of W&M for academic development Dr. Manos, Vice President of W&M for International affairs Dr. Hanse, professors from W&M’s departments and schools including Arts, Humanities, Education, Natural Science, Computer Science and Business, etc., and UESTC’s visiting scholars in W&M attended the meeting and panel discussion.
