The 2015 opening ceremony of UESTC for all international students was held on the 31st of August 2015 at the school’s sports stadium.

\

The ceremony commenced at 9:00 am in the morning. Despite the early morning rain showers, it didn’t deter the students who had already geared up for the ceremony. This ceremony was  special because it's the first time all the international students from around the world share the same venue.  International students present at the parade included students from countries like Mongolia, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Pakistan, Zambia, Somalia, Burundi, Togo, Nigeria, Mali, Benin, Sierra Leone, Cambodia, Uzbekistan, Austria and  America.

\

The school stadium was flooded with paraphernalia’s of the various countries represented by the international students. Students were spotted in their traditional cloths, hand bands among others.

Once the event commenced, the international students marched to the school’s sports stadium chanting the slogan “I COME, I LEARN, I GROW, I EXPERIENCE”.

\

The ceremony also saw some performances by some Chinese students. The military parade by the Chinese school cadet was a sight to behold. The ceremony which was meant to officially welcome the international students was an event one would love to see every year.

\

After the parade, the entire student body gathered to take photos. Students were spotted in the midst of their fellow country men and women. Others took the opportunity to share a moment with students from other countries.

It is difficult for one to vividly describe the feeling at the ceremonial grounds since each and every one had a total different experience all together. The memories of that fateful day will forever linger in the minds of the beautiful people who participated in the event.
