All the universities and colleges invited have direct and practical cooperation programs with USETC and share various of focus and topics with the related schools of UESTC. Leaders of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and The University of Electro-Communication visited UESTC’s Center for Intelligent Robot where they had an interaction and communication with the students. During the visit to School of Mechatronics Engineering, Professor Karl-Heinz Meisel, president of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences(HsKA), had a talk with the students who took part in the short-term exchange program to HsKA in the summer vacation this year, asking them about some details of their exchange experiences in HsKA.  Guests of the invited universities and colleges not only had face-to-face communication with the teachers and students, they also visited the labs of different schools. Students from School of Electronic Engineering showed their microwave anechoic chamber and the new Antenna Exhibition Hall to the guests of Chiba University, Nanyang Technological University and Israel Institute of Technology who thought very highly of the cutting-edge achievements they have made.

The direct exchange of ideas with leaders and professors from overseas universities and colleges brings about new opportunities for UESTC to conduct the international cooperation with overseas institutions of high learning. Professor Stephen Hanson, vice president of College of William and Marry thinks very highly of the cooperation relationship with UESTC. He said they were going to actively promote collaboration with UESTC in the humanity & social science area, like Law and Communication, and to further the exchange visits of teaching staff from both sides.

Professor Er Meng Hwa, vice president of Nanyang Technological University, shared with other guests a joint-training program for brilliant PhD candidates and an experience of cooperating with a team of professors from School of Electronic Engineering of UESTC. He said NTU will readily carry forward the international exchanges with UESTC, not only covering long-term exchange programs but also the short-term ones such as the “summer school” study tour.

The communication between respective schools of UESTC and foreign universities and colleges makes the celebration more glorious and adds to it the more cultural meaning. It also serves as an opportunity for UESTC to promote cooperation with overseas higher institutions on talent cultivating, teaching staff construction as well as scientific researches, and to propel UESTC’s education standards to an international level. Besides it sets up a platform for UESTC and overseas higher institutions to have exchanges on education, science and technology and culture, etc, efficiently promoting the international academic cooperation and exchanges between UESTC and world-class universities and colleges.
