School of Microelectronics Cooperates with University of Delaware

On October 5, Ministry of Science and Technology International Exchange Base at School of Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics, UESTC, signed an agreement on full cooperation with the US Department of Energy Resources Research Center for Spinning Electronics and Energy Materials at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, School of Physics, University of Delaware, establishing a sisterly relationship between the UESTC school and the Delaware department.

Prof. Zhang Huaiwu, Dean of the UESTC school, and Prof. Hadjipanayis, Director of the Delaware department, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective establishments.

According to the agreement, the two sides will have full cooperation in various fields such as research in electronic materials and components, exchange of visiting scholars, postgraduate students training, joint doctorial programs, and summer school undergraduate students exchange.

The two sides hope to jointly produce internationally influential results in such already well-founded research areas as spinning electronics, permenant magnetic ferrites, microwave crystals, and magneto-optic crystals.
