On October 22, the 2011 International Conference on Computational Problem-Solving (2nd ICCP) was held in Chengdu. Some 120 people from diffeent countries attended the conference. They were scholars and researchers in computational electromagnetics, digital signal processing, computer network, smart computer and other related areas. The focus of the conference was "Internationalization of Wireless Personal Area Network in China".

The conference was jointly sponsored by IEEE Chengdu Section, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society of America, Greating(Beijing)Science &Technology Co., and UESTC. Prof. Shao Zhenhai from UESTC-GREATING Joint Experimental Project Center served as the executive chairman, with Li Lemin, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of UESTC, and Hong Wei, Changjiang scholar, professor and director of Southeast China University State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Technology as honorary chairmen. The conference accepted 182 academic papers from 260 submissions.

Vice-president Wang Houjun, Academician Li Lemin, and Prof. Magdalena Salazar Palam, Executive Chairman of Antennas and Propagation Society of America in 2011 delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Four renowned scholars gave academic lectures on telecommunication and computational problem-solving. They included Prof. Hong Wei, Prof. Sajal K. Das from the US Natural Science Foundation, Prof. Guangbin Huang from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Prof. Magdalena Salazar Palam.

Participants at the conference held eighteen panel  discussions on issues concerning computational electromagnetics, digital signal processing, smart computer, computer network, and so on.
