UESTC Students Gain Good Results at 36th ACM-ICPC Asia Shanghai Contest

The prelimenary sessions of the 36th ACM-ICPC Asia Shanghai Contest came to an end in November. Organized and guided by School of Mathematics, eleven UESTC teams participated in five prelimenary contests held in Dalian, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu and Fuzhou, winning eight gold, four silver and three bronze medals, the best results the university had ever achieved at this contest, ranking first among all participating universities. In the Chengdu zone, the UESTC-Hestia team won the second place.

 

Because of our excellent results at the Asia regional contest, UESTC has been qualified to take part in the final compettion of the 36th ACM-ICPC Contest to be held in Warsaw, Poland next May, representing China.
