School of International Education Holds New Year’s Evening Party

On the evening of December 22, UESTC Shahe Campus was lighted up in colorful lanterns and a cheerful celebrating atomsphere. Held in such an air of festivitity was the 2012 New Year’s Evening Party and Award Conferring Ceremony for Outstanding International Students at UESTC.


Vice-president Wang Houjun expressed his best regards to all international students at UESTC, wishing them all a happy new year in which they would make more progress in their study. The School of International Education conferred awards to international students who had made outstanding achievements in study, and who had served as excellent student leaders or student affairs activists. 

The international students and their Chinese counterparts watched diverse and exciting stage performances, which gave them a really good time. The over 150 international students from some thirty different countries sent through video clips best New Year greetings to all their teachers and comrades, all wishing a better tomorrow for the Alma Mater.


Also present at the evening were teachers,  administrative staff, and Chinese student volunteers working with international students.
