Vice president Wang Houjun and the leaders of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange warmly receive them. Professors from School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Mathematical Science, and School of Electronic Engineering and the representative from Chengdu College also attend this meeting.

Vice president Wang Houjun attends enthusiastic welcome to the delegation, and makes a brief introduction on our discipline construction, school development and international cooperation. In his address, Wang says UESTC is a school of multi-disciplines, having made internationalism the core task to meet the needs of the rapidly developing society. Multiple Hi-tech companies aggregate around our school, providing our students with valuable opportunities. He visions for the bilateral-cooperation with CNU and hopes for enhanced exchanges.

Madam Bobbye Bartels, vice president of CNU, thanks for the hospitality. She sincerely wishes that this agreement signing would bring more learning chances for both sides, and also be a strong push to the scientific, mathematic and engineering development in CNU. Moreover, she said that the diversity added by Chinese students would help them gain a better understanding of Chinese culture and language.

Subsequently, Wang Houjun and madam Bartels, on behalf of their own schools, sign the MOU(Memorandum of Understanding)cooperation agreement, planning to start the summer exchange and autumn bilateral-scholarship-exchange project this year. Afterwards, the two sides discuss about the cooperation projects in details, including 2+2 Duel Degree, 3+1+1 and summer exchange.

During the two-day visit, the delegation also takes a look around the School of Electronic Engineering, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Physical Electronics and School of Life Science and Technology, and has exchanges with leaders and students of these schools.
