Biography Dr. Dakun Lai received his Ph.D. in Medical Electronics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 2008. Then he completed a three-year Postdoctoral Associate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, U.S.A. From January 2012, he has been on the faculty of the School of Physical Electronics, UESTC, China, where he was appointed as an Associate Professor of Electrical Science and Technology. Meanwhile, as a member of Prof. Huabei Jiang’s Lab (Advanced Biomedical Imaging Lab, UESTC), Dr. Lai now also is serving as a full time researcher in the Center for Information in Biomedicine, UESTC.
Dr. Lai's research interests include bioelectromagnetism, functional biomedical imaging, cardiac electronic physiology and engineering, and medical electronics and devices. He is a member of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society and American Heart Association. With the help of hosting and attending more than 8 foundlings supported USA/China governments, Dr. Lai has published over 20 SCI/EI indexed articles in peer-reviewed core journals and conference including Physics in Medicine and Biology, IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, Chinese Journal of Biomedical Engineering, Space Medicine & Medical Engineering, and Chinese Journal of Scientific Instrument, etc. He has also delivered over 10 presentations and posters in various international conferences and over 15China Patents.
