Biography: Kaixin Chenwas born in Sichuan, China, in 1972. He received the M.S. degree in physics and Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering both from Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 1999 and 2002, respectively. From 2002 to 2009, he was with Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) of the City University of Hong Kong as a research Stuff. Since 2009, he has been with the School of communication and information engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, where he is currently a Professor. His current research interests focus on integrated optical waveguide devices
