Biography: I am a Professor in the School of Energy Science and Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. I have been awarded the “University 100 Talents”, “Sichuan 1000 Talents” as well as the “Best University Mentor” nomination awards. I received my B.S. degree in applied chemistry from Harbin Institute of Technology, PR China, in 2007, and my Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Vanderbilt University in 2012. I then went to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory for my postdoctoral research. My research involves direct measurement of gas diffusivity and ionic conductivity in fuel cells and batteries, and seeks to design efficient fuel cell/battery systems with pre-evaluated electrodes, electrolytes, and operating conditions. I have published over ninety journal papers and ten patents, among which three led to the founding of two companies and have been employed in industry for mass production. Since 2013, as PI I have received funding from various sources.
Education experience: I received my B.S. degree in applied chemistry from Harbin Institute of Technology, PR China, in 2007, and my Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Vanderbilt University in 2012.
