Biography: Dr. Shu Zhang is an associate professor of materials science in the School of Energy Science and Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, Sichuan.  Before joining the faculty of UESTC, Dr. Zhang worked in the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) of Japan as an AIST researcher in the duration of 2003-2006, and was a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Hawaii from 2006 until 2010.  Her current research interests focus on the energy storage materials and devices, including lithium ion battery, vanadiu redox flow battery, and hydrogen storage materials.
Education experience: Dr. Shu Zhang received a bachelor degree of chemistry from the Sichuan University in 1998 and a Ph.D. of organic chemistry in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in 2003.
