Biography: Dr Huanwei XU is currently an associate professor at the School of Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. He received a PhD degree in Mechanical
Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in Dalian, China. He has published more than 10 journal papers, and his research interests include reliability design,  multidisciplinary design optimization, and intelligent algorithms.
Education experience: 2004-2009 Ph.D. in Mechanical design and theory, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian city, P.R. China.  
2001-2004 M.Sc. in Mechanical design and theory, Henan University of Science and Technology, Luoyang city, P.R. China.
